Under-appreciated and under-utilized by so many anglers these days, soft hackle flies have been been productive for hundreds of years. This is most effective in the early stages of a caddis hatch, but most of the year will produce extremely well for you.
HOOKS: These flies are tied on barbless, 1x short, competition nymph hooks. Since they are 1x short, the hook shank is one size smaller than a typical nymph. So if you order a #16, it will only be the length of a #18. Therefore, PLEASE CONSIDER ORDERING A SIZE LARGER THAN YOU MAY HAVE PLANNED!
