This is essentially a tungsten surveyor with some added CDC magic and a less flashy collar. This searching pattern is effective dead drifted or swung. Let me know if you'd like a flashier color of thread for the collar (red, fl. chartreuse, fl. orange, fl. pink..)
I tie this on a barbless, black-nickel finished jig hook for a fly that will ride point up to reduce snags. These hooks also reduce stress on the fish as they are significantly easier to remove.
